Founded by licensed massage therapist Beverley Fryer, Elemental Compass grew from a simple belief: that skilled, intentional bodywork can be both deeply therapeutic and genuinely restorative. Before launching the practice, Beverley spent years honing her craft — including work at a chiropractic office focused on accident, injury and sports medicine.
Today, a team of licensed therapists carries that vision forward. We’re as comfortable working through post-surgical recovery and chronic pain as we are helping you simply slow down — all in a clean, calm space designed for healing.

Beverley Fryer is a licensed massage therapist who spent years refining her craft before opening Elemental Compass. Much of that early work was at a chiropractic office focused on accident, injury and sports medicine — and it’s where her clinical, recovery-first approach took shape.
She founded Elemental Compass to bring that same standard of care to Traverse City: bodywork that treats the whole person, blending genuine therapeutic skill with a calm, unhurried space. Today she leads a team of licensed therapists who share that belief.
Her vision reaches beyond a single studio — toward a growing community of massage and natural-health practitioners, supported by a budding mentorship program for the next generation of therapists.
